Initial Enquiry

Signage is the number one way to make your salon stand out from the rest. Every job begins with an enquiry, which allows us to learn what a customer wants. Hair Quarters is an established hairdressers based in Durham, and they came to us wanting a black and gold hair salon sign which would match their aesthetic branding as they expand into new premises.

Survey

Once we had a base idea of what our customer wanted, we arranged a site survey. A survey is important not only to get accurate measurements, but also because it allows us discuss more in depth about the customer’s needs. Surveying also allows us to inspect the condition of the current signage, and if there any changes which need to be made prior to installation.

Design

The part of the process where everything starts to come to life is through design. With our skilled designers and sizes, we managed to come up with a design for a black and gold hair salon sign which our customer instantly loved. We decided to go for flat cut brushed gold ACM letters fixed to an ACM panel with vinyl detailing.

Manufacture and Install

We started the manufacturing process of this sign by cutting the brushed gold ACM letters on the CNC router. After the letters were cut, we trimmed the black ACM panel to size and applied the gold vinyl detailing. The final step to this stylish sign was fixing the brushed gold letters onto the panel. In order to accurately attach the letters, we printed a template and masked it onto the black ACM panel. This method allowed us to drill holes for the letters in the correct places and fix the letters to the panel.
