Signage is the number one way to make your salon stand out from the rest. Studio Sun is a tanning salon based in Lincoln, and they came to us wanting signage which would match their aesthetic branding.

The Design Process

Our design process always starts with a logo and branding. For this project, our customer already had a logo so our designers were able to easily incorporate it into the signage. We came up with a few different options, and ended up with the above design. The design features an ACM panel with cream vinyl and matt laminate, as well as white komacel letters fitted to the fascia. We also included some white window graphics which not only look simple and stylish, but they also give customers a good idea of what the salon offers. The design perfectly suits the branding and aesthetic of Studio Sun, encapsulating the modern and stylish vibe.

Manufacture and Install

Once the design is approved, we can get started with the manufacturing process. The sign incorporated different departments from our factory, including vinyl, assembly and the CNC router. The first step was applying the chosen vinyl to the ACM panel, and then the matt laminate over the top. Once the panel was sorted, we began cutting the komacel letters on the CNC router. We used 19mm komacel to allow the letters have some depth, and give them a 3D effect. After cutting the letters, we attached the brass locators which we then fixed to the fascia on site.

For the vinyl graphics for the tanning salon we used a white gloss vinyl, as this nicely fit the overall aesthetic. Our highly-skilled installation team fitted the signage and vinyl graphics for the salon and our customer was thrilled with the result. The salon looks contemporary and stylish, perfectly matching the branding.
