Salon Window Graphics: Transforming Son of Sander Salon

Initial Enquiry

Every job begins with an enquiry, which allows us to learn what a customer is after. Son of Sander came to Ellis Signs for some salon signage; they sent us some inspiration photos and wanted to make use of the windows. The inspiration picture sent across by the salon included a contemporary swirl design- as a hair salon, it is crucial to stand out from others, so we loved this idea as we haven’t done anything like it before.

Surveying

Once we had a base idea of what our customer wanted, we arranged a site survey. A survey is important not only to get accurate measurements, but also because it allows us discuss more in depth about the customer’s needs. For this job we measured the windows, as well as the shop fascia and projecting sign. Our customer also wanted some internal vinyl graphics, so we got sizes for the internal walls.

The Design Process

The part of the process where everything starts to come to life is through design. With our skilled designers and sizes, we managed to come up with a design which our customer instantly loved. We made use of the window space and incorporated the swirl design, as well as the salon name and opening hours. We also created a mockup showing the salon logo on the existing projecting sign and on one of the internal walls.

Manufacture and Install

For the vinyl graphics for the salon we used a matt black vinyl, as this nicely fit the overall aesthetic. Our highly-skilled installation team fitted the vinyl graphics for the salon and our customer was thrilled with the result. The graphics look contemporary and stylish, perfectly matching the branding of the salon.
