FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS

February has been another fantastic month for #teamellis, packed with exciting projects, major milestones, and well-deserved recognition. As we continue to push the boundaries of signage innovation, we’re thrilled to share some of our standout moments from the past month including the new Superdrug store in Leeds, Build-A-Bear Workshop installation in Dublin and plenty of LED neon signs.

Leeds Briggate – First New Superdrug Store of 2025! 🛍️

We kicked off the year in style, manufacturing and installing signage for the brand-new Superdrug Leeds Briggate store! This high-profile project required precision, creativity, and expertise to bring Superdrug’s vision to life. The black powder-coated curved aluminium fascia gives the storefront a sleek and contemporary look, while the built-up aluminium letters with face illumination ensure the branding remains bold and eye-catching, even at night.

From concept to installation, every detail was carefully considered to maintain consistency with Superdrug’s strong brand identity. The combination of materials used not only enhances durability but also aligns with the modern, high-street aesthetic that Superdrug stores are known for. This project is particularly exciting as it marks the first new Superdrug store of 2025—a promising start to what looks like a fantastic year for both Superdrug and #teamellis. We’re looking forward to collaborating on many more projects with them in the months ahead!

Carabao Cup Fever for #teamellis! ⚽️

Football fever took over the workshop this month as we geared up for the Carabao Cup final! At #teamellis, we love to bring creativity and passion into everything we do, and our enthusiasm for football is no exception.

To celebrate the occasion, we designed and manufactured a custom Wembley banner—a bold and dynamic display that captures the excitement of the final. But the highlight of our football-themed projects was our “Howay the Lads” LED neon sign. This sign, featuring bright and striking LED illumination, has been a hit with Newcastle fans, perfectly capturing the energy and excitement surrounding the team’s journey to Wembley.

To take our celebrations a step further, we hosted a Toon Top Day in the workshop, where our team proudly wore their Newcastle United jerseys in full support of the club. There’s nothing better than uniting over a shared passion, and it’s safe to say we’ve had an unforgettable time showing our team spirit.

Build-A-Bear Workshop, Dublin – A Bear-y Exciting Project! 🐻

One of our most fun and vibrant projects this month was our work for Build-A-Bear Workshop in Dublin. This project allowed us to flex our creative muscles and produce a signage package that reflects the playful and joyful nature of the brand.

For this installation, we manufactured and installed a high-quality signage set, including folded aluminium panels, built-up aluminium letters, and light trays fitted with LEDs for both face and halo illumination. These elements combine to create a visually engaging and inviting storefront, perfectly aligning with Build-A-Bear’s branding and customer experience goals.

From a technical perspective, this project required precision engineering to ensure that the signage was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and long-lasting. The use of LED lighting enhances visibility while maintaining energy efficiency—an essential consideration for retail spaces. Working on a project that brings joy to children and families made this an especially rewarding experience, and we’re incredibly proud of the final result!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that #teamellis has been nominated for three categories in the prestigious Sign & Wrap Awards 2025! These nominations are a huge honour and a testament to the dedication, craftsmanship, and innovation that our team brings to every project.

We’ve been nominated for: ✨ Architectural Sign of the Year – Recognizing our expertise in designing and installing striking architectural signage that enhances the aesthetics and functionality of buildings. ✨ Wayfinding Sign of the Year – Celebrating our ability to create clear, stylish, and effective wayfinding solutions that improve navigation in various spaces. ✨ Sign Company of the Year (under 30 employees) – A massive acknowledgment of our hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence as a growing team in the signage industry.

Being shortlisted among the best in the industry is a huge achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of our talented team. We’ll be eagerly awaiting the awards night, and no matter the outcome, we’re honoured to be recognised for our work in pushing the boundaries of signage design and installation.

Beyond these major projects, February has been a bustling month in our workshop. Our team has been hard at work on a variety of exciting signage installations across different industries, ensuring each project meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Some of our latest work includes built-up illuminated letters for Office, LED neon signs for One Gym and digitally printed hoardings for Moss.

With each of these projects, we continue to refine our techniques, experiment with new materials, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in signage design.
