Design and Survey
For this project, we worked with Simon Bartlett from Bartlett ID. The signage was manufactured and installed for Talk Of The Town, a popular amusements venue located within Seaton Carew. Once we had a base idea of what our customer wanted, we arranged a site survey. A survey is important not only to get accurate measurements, but also because it allows us discuss more in depth about the customer’s needs. When the designs had been approved for the pink built up letters, we could begin the manufacturing process.
Manufacture and Install
For the pink built up letters, a few of our departments were involved in the manufacturing process. Our CNC and laser department, metal work department and assembly department were all a part of this fun project. We started the manufacturing by cutting the letters on our laser machine. After the letters had been cut, we began building the returns in the metal shop. This year we have moved into a purpose-built metal shop in Blaydon from Dunston, which has allowed to massively expand our manufacturing capabilities. The letters were then powder coated baby pink and had pink acrylic faces added on. We inlayed cool white LED neon into the letters to add some subtle illumination.
Our highly-skilled installation team fitted the signage for the venue and our customer was thrilled with the result. The looks contemporary and fun, perfectly matching the vibe of the amusements.
