Transforming A Logo Into A Modern LED Neon Sign with Mesh Cage

DESIGN

As with the majority of our projects, we start out with a logo and work from this. Skin & Soul sent us over a copy of their logo to work with, and the Ellis Signs design team came up with a couple of visuals. The very first visual included cool white LED neon and no mesh cage. After a few design tweaks, we arrived at the final design which features a clear acrylic panel fitted with warm white LED neon and a mesh cage fitted over the top. The design process is extremely important as it allows to show our customers what their signage will look like once manufactured.

MANUFACTURING

This sign has a few different elements which have helped to make it a completely unique sign. The first manufacturing step was using our CNC router to engrave the logo into a sheet of clear acrylic. After that, we began the process of creating the LED sign. For this particular sign, our customer requested warm white LED. The LED neon really helped to bring this sign to life. After that, our assembly fitted a natural mesh cage over the sign which gave the sign the look of a traditional neon sign, with all the advantages of LED.

INSTALLATION

The Skin & Soul salon is located in Sunderland, and our fitting team made sure they followed all necessary health and safety procedures to be able to work here. The finished product looks incredible thanks to the unique design and bespoke manufacturing processes used to make this one of a kind sign.
